　　　　明朝万历二十九年，皇长子朱常洛被正式册封为皇太子，赐太子府，次年底万历为皇太子征选太子妃，一时之间，各王侯将相之女，争相进入太子府，掀起了一场规模浩大的选秀序曲，明争暗斗，攀龙附凤的前奏，一场没有硝烟的金粉之战就此打响……公元1592年4月，日本丰臣秀吉出兵朝鲜，一月以 内，朝鲜八道尽失向“大明求援”，福王朱常洵以为援朝将严重耗费国库，劝万历按兵不动，皇太子朱常洛则叹中国朝鲜，不过一江之隔，倭寇之图朝鲜意实在中国，而我兵之救朝鲜实所以救中国，万历最终采纳了朱常洛的意见，于是公元1592年至1593年，1597年至1598年明朝两次派兵，共尽十七万人“赴朝救援抗日”史称“朝鲜之役”。战胜归来,皇帝正式册封恭妃其子朱常洛（宋洋 饰）为皇太子，郑妃（王艺曈 饰）其子朱常洵（朱一龙 饰）封为福王此次得到父皇的赞赏，还为皇太子征选太子妃，一时之间，各王侯将相之女“梅儿（关慧卿 饰），兰兰（何杜娟 饰），碧瑶（陈思璇 饰）三人被迫也前去参选，争相进入太子府，掀起了一场规模浩大的选秀序曲，明争暗斗，攀龙附凤的前奏。
